Question
I have a question about registering a litter of pups I was told that you could breed a blue tick to a English and register them as English is this true
If they resemble English coonhounds, you would have to go through the English Coonhound Association to register them with us as English Coonhounds. If any of them resemble Bluetick Coonhounds, you would have to go through the Bluetick Coonhound Association to register them with us as Blueticks.
Well how in the world would you determine what looks blutic an what looks English sir cause the English papers say bluetick blutck rdtck redtick tri colored tricolored w/tk white black wht w/tk white red wht red w/tk other so how would I make the call on what goes English and what goes blue but what I was asking is could I just take both parents ukc numbers mail them in on the puppy registration pack and have them reg as English
No, you cannot use their registration numbers and just register them as English coonhounds, if the parents are 2 different breeds. If you are not sure which breed each pup most resembles, you can view our Breed Standards on our website to help you make the correct determination.
Or just wait til jan 1 and put them in the cross breed registry
You could do that. Not sure if that registry will open on January 1st or later, but yes, that would be an option.
