Muck boots and HSUS

I saw on Facebook where The Muck Boot Company holds fundraisers and supports HSUS . Now I've been rather done with mucks for a hunting boot, but have a pair of artic sports for winter work . That was a stupid move on their part if you ask me .. HSUS is against hunting and all for limiting the rights of farmers and agriculture, in which easily make up 90% of their customers or more . That does it for me , I'll keep my business with lacrosse!!

good catch I hadn't heard that but will be sure and pass this on and boycott any of there products as should others until such a time as they change their ways .

Hard to believe that a prominent company who earns the majority of there profit from houndsman, farmers and outdoors man would make such an idiotic mistake.......I cant see me spending another dime on Muck boots knowing that the money i just spent may very well be used for congressman, legislators, political propoganda and any other sneaky underhanded schemes that the hsus may have planned to attempt and change my way of life and take away the things that make me and my family happy!

Only thing wrong with Muck's statement is that the Humane Association of Rhode Island has posted on their facebook that have not received a donation.

Wow what a mistake by muck boots. Muck boots were always junk as far as I was concerned. The heels wear out in a few months of hard hunting.

We would like to respond to our loyal customers and provide additional information about recent posts on social media regarding a monetary donation to a local animal care organization. Our post inaccurately stated that a donation was made to The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Moreover, the post itself was inappropriate under the circumstances.

Family members of an employee who recently passed away requested that, in lieu of flowers, co-workers donate funds to the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island, a local association founded in 1978 to solve community issues primarily related to stray cats. They are not affiliated with HSUS as the posts incorrectly stated.

The money is not a corporate donation, but a collection of personal contributions from employees with the intent of remembering a beloved co-worker. While our intentions were good, the use of corporate social channels under these circumstances was inappropriate.

Muck Boots has a heritage of respect for the outdoors and for nature. We apologize for the anger and confusion the posts have caused and have removed them from our social channels.

Pretty sure it is true and now they lie to cover it up. Since the uproar they did make a donation to hanri but they are an animal rights group aswell. So it looks like to me they made 2 donations to animal rights groups in a week.
