Put an owl decoy on the top rails of your kennels !!

Don't feed so much. Dogs should clean up their food in less than five minutes. A few are slower but most will eat all they need in five minutes or less. I have several here that finish in less than one minute and they are almost fat.

Birds....

I don't worry too much about it. I never leave food in their bowls, feed them and wait for them to eat it then pull the pans out and turn them upside down.
Wash food and water bowls out with bleach once a week or so.
Dogs are exposed to all kinds of things in the woods, just a part of life.
If your dogs are healthy and not weak they will be fine.
Pups are a different story, you need to take a little more precaution with them.
