Passing of Boo Hodge

Boo Hodge of Fairmont, North Carolina, a long time bluetick supporter lost his long battle with Cancer last night. Boo was truly one of the good guys of this sport and someone you always looked forward to drawing at a hunt. The bad news is that Boo is no longer with us here on earth, but the great news is that he is home in Heaven with his Lord and Saviour. Boo has given his heart and life to Jesus and was real active in his church so this isn't good bye, it is I will see you later.

Thoughts and Prayer's go out to the family of Boo.
He was a good man that i enjoyed talking to about the blue dogs...........R.I.P. Mr.Boo........

I was woundering if maybe when someone passes that we could post a picture of them? I talked too Boo a long while back but doen't think I ever got to meet him. Alot of time in this coon hunting world we talk to folks at these hunts but may never realy know thier names.

We lost a great Bluetick man.He owned the pearl dog my Geronimo dog's grand dam.

Sad news, the bluetick community has lost a good man....boo introduced me to swamp huntn years ago and i will always remember it,will miss hearing (im lookin a dog warren and you know i need some leg on em!

to hear this news. I met and hunted with Boo and his Lizzy female a few years back at Bluetick days. A class act all the way. We will miss him but be glad he is with his lord now. I will promise you that he is happier than us. Prayers are going out for his family from our house.

Boo was a long time friend and a dear friend at that. He broke bread at my house, drank tea from my porch and we spent many a hours talking dogs, hunting, and life. HE checked in on my daughter when she was in college since I was away from NC by then, his reply "maybe you can do it for my daughter one day".

He had a great sense of humor and could tell it like it was when he needed to. A true Blue man is what he was.

We talked not to long ago, and his spirits were high and he was taking life for what it would give him.

He will truly be missed, by his family and by those who knew his smile, laugh and his presence when he entered the building he just made you feel good !

Good bye my friend, you will be missed, and I can only say Heaven has gained another guardian of this world.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. You will be missed

Every Wednesday I stop by this little buffet and would run in to Boo every month or two. I've been wondering how we were missing each other. I drew Boo several times in the late 90's and we always had fun. He was a good guy to draw, always straight. He will be missed. Hope to make the great hunt with you again.
