Old Buck---

Going to "try" and produce another close to him???
Grandson of Red Oak Mike top, with some Red Ace and Valley Wood Pecker.

Bottom was Roys, Reds, Norman Lucy and a little Max Hunter blood.

I'm sure he wasn't "every hunters" hound, but I couldn't have ask for a better one to hunt. If you were to ask about his--nose, mouth, speed, locate, treeing style, handling, looks and personality, I would just say OUTSTANDING. I had him for 2 seasons before he died from a hunting accident, but in those two years I never looked at an empty tree. Cheta II was as close to his class, but she wasn't as fast and in all the years I hunted her, she would miss about one a season.

So, as I wait for nature to do its thing, time will tell down the road.

Looks real sharp

That's a sharp hound and a great picture. What year did you take this picture?

Zach----

This is Zach last fall. He hit this track on the farm I grew up on and he was getting with it. As you can see this is a small tree next to a drainage ditch and it was the only place "Ricky" had to climb. The picture isn't much, but you can hear how he trees. He's a touch lighter than Old Buck, but his Grandsire-Old Rowdy of Justin's was dark like Buck and having Chatman's Northern Hoss in there should keep the color I like.

PS jdgher

I'm not really sure of the year of the picture, guessing "around" 2005??
