Jennings Blue River Jewell

This is my favorite ol girl of all time. Waited and searched for over a year to find myself a good bluetick. Picked her up at Steve Burkeholder's farm in Indiana with my dad when I was in sixth grade.

She is out of GRNITECH B&D'S BLUE SPIKE X NGRNC GRNITECH WILD N BLUE LOU.
She's never been in a coon hunt, but she has helped fill many freezers full during the past several hide seasons.

That means more to me than winning hunts anymore.

GR NT CH HILLTOP SPIKES NORTHERN BLUE

I used to own Blue , got him right around a yr. old . Made him a Grand Nt Ch pretty quick . Mainly in bigger hunts . He made the top hundred at the world hunt . At the zones he beat on Friday night , the dog that came back & got 5th in the world . On Saturday night , he beat the walker gyp that came back & got 2nd in the world hunt . Blue was out of SPIKE & IVY . There were several Grands from this litter . Blue was 75 lb's in shape . He could run a track with speed , & was very accurate . What I have seen from Spike dogs , is a lot of track speed with a lot of desire to please . Good about having the meat hanging .

The track speed of my spike hound amazes me,when I first got her I thought she was running trash the first couple of nights I hunted her but she proved that to not be the case.she can move a track.i just couldn't believe how fast she could move it,I thought she was running deer and changing over on a coon and get treed.but like I said the more I hunted her she proved to be doing wat she was suppose too.im happy with her desire and nose a well.
