Need ideas for prizes to give out at Breed Hunts

trying to get some ideas for prizes to give out at our breed state and sectional hunts. we are going to give out trophies but just wanted to see what other ideas might be out there that do a good job of recognizing and promoting the winners along with being an incentize to attend the events.

How about this: all cast winners receive a free nite hunt entry at the following hunt? I know you'll lose that entry fee but I'm sure that hunter will buy food, possibly enter the show, but a 50/50 ticket, enter the treeing contest and hopefully bring a buddy along!

We've been doing the calcutta incentive at our club and it's becoming very popular as well.

Had this discussion at the last hunt I went to. Possibly the one before it as well, it was a different club.

Some say they have more trophies that they don't need any more. Let them donate them back to the club then if they don't want them. Do we want our sport to grow? I know the #'s have declined greatly since I first started hunting in 1978. With that new blood coming in they may not have dog or knowledge to really compete in a night hunt to get the hardware that another doesn't desire. How good of dog does one really have if it is only competeing against one or two other dogs?

Just my thought.

Seen breed quilts/blankets may work for you...

Custom embroidered hats that say what club and what you won with the year on it. I'm sure after its won the name of the dog could be added on back of the hat or side if wanted.

Rance I won two or three truck loads of trophies showing cattle and the only ones I still have are Made of leather. Survived several moves and one divorce. The cost is same as trophies. Oldest is 1969.
