Alpha ?????

Prolly 2 weeks ago I was hunting the screen froze up then when I cut the system back on it didnt have any dogs collars on the system or anything since then it hasn't happened anymore but why would that hapen thanks

Mine has never done that so I cant say, but I will tell you that depending on how old or new yours is there may be updates available online at the Garmin website. You go to the site and plug your Alpha into your computer with the cable it comes with. You will see on there pretty easy how to do the handheld, just follow the instructions. Unfortunately, the collar is not so easy. What seems like the way to do it is not what works. I had to call the tech line and have one of their folks talk me thru it. I would have never figured it out. I am no IT man, but I ain't exactly stupid either. Maybe the website was having a bad day and maybe they have fixed it by now...this was about two weeks ago. The point being, don't listen to the "all ya gotta do" guys. From what I have seen there are a lot of people that think they have an updated collar, but they don't. Get on the website, hook up your collar and give them a call. There were two updates available for mine and it fixed the issues I was having.

I had the same problem. Called garmin and found out it is becous I had to much birds eye downloaded. Worked for me.

Definetly do the update if it don't fix it garmin will help ya.
