Tbaker, no his brother Paul is!

Adam, Thanks bud, I wont be able to hunt during the big hunts anymore, probably could get away with Thursday night, but I'm letting one of Scott Haynes daughters hunt Jake whatever nights she wants so I can focus on work.

Paul's wife may beg to differ!

It's my youngest brother Phil that is getting hitched up. Redbone Days and in my backyard? Guess he didn't the memo in time.

You're right Adam... this will be the first one I've missed in a good number of years. I plan on being there Thursday.

I hope the coon up in Michigan are moving better in this summertime heat then they are in North-west Pa. If they're laying up early and moving late like they are here folks might as well not bother turning loose till after midnight at National Days. Of coarse there are more coon up there then there is around here though. Atleast that's what I've heard. I've never hunted anywhere near Bellevue before.

How's the hunting there been?

Any long range weather forecasts yet? Do I need my heavy duty rain gear? My bathing suit? A winter coat?
What's the hunting ground like? Are you flat or hilly?

We got here Wednesday evening, just after a tornado went through!
Overnight, there was another powerful thunderstorm. The club grounds are a little soggy today, but the weather was perfect today--sunny, cool. My knees aren't holding up well enough to hunt tonight, so I'm back at the motel where we have an Internet connection. Lots of friends and acquaintances, old nd new, with red dogs and a few off-colored ones too.

The starting point for the field trial was pretty boggy and I went down in a mud pit at the starting line, but Dale Young and Todd from the host club helped me hang onto my big guy, Clamour. He got the hardware for Line in the GRFCH class! He's currently watching tv o the bed with me and scratching at the itchy spots from parting the nettles on the trail. Hunting temperatures should be in the low fifties. Skies are cloudless. Scores should come in high tonight.

Thursday results are in, but the club grounds don't have internet access. UKC has the results. They may post them. I don't recall the winner, but top dog had a score of, I think, 1170.
95 dogs going to the woods tonight. 5 grand champion casts. I could have missed it, but I didn't see any youth cast, which was disappointing. There were 3 senior casts, two registered, one night champion. Deadline is 5 am

As for pups, Herschel Burt had a real nice litter there. He brought eight of 13. There were 3 left as of this evening. I saw several other pups for sale, but not entire litters. A pair of bluetick pups that were the stud fee, that came with today's bench show judge who is also a vendor.
