Autumn Oaks Question?
Are there any certain credentials or qualifications for entering a dog in Autumn Oaks? I always pleasure hunted until lately and started competition hunting this past year so I'm new to the bigger events.Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Nope. Oaks is open to all UKC reg coon hounds, But the Gr.Nt's get all the spot light.

All you need to do is fill out the online entry here:
https://www.ukcdogs.com/DEWebCom.nsf/AOEntry?OpenForm
Or you can call us and we can take the entry over the phone, or you can print the entry form (or get it out of the Coonhound Bloodlines) and mail it in to us. All entries must be received by Friday, August 8.
You'll get a confirmation in the mail confirming your address, your dog's information, and the night you want to hunt. You can bring this form to the confirmation table, but it's not necessary. You will have to confirm by 1 pm the day you are scheduled to hunt.
You will then confirm on the night you chose to hunt. You'll just need your Easy Entry card or your dog's UKC papers to confirm the entry. They will then give you either your cast number or your entry number (if you are a wait-listed entry) and tell you when to report to hear where your cast is going. If you are wait-listed you will get to hunt, but you'll have to show back up a little earlier to get your cast number.
Then you'll meet your cast and be ready to hunt. Any UKC registered coonhound is eligible to compete, regardless of category. If you are hunting a Grand Nite Champion you have to hunt on Friday night though. If you are hunting a Nite Champion or Registered dog you can choose which night to hunt.
Hope this helps!

If something happened to the dog I wanted to hunt could I change dogs? Or is it only the dog I put on the entry form?
