I hope so but I don't think he'll do it either. Lots of variables to overcome.

I'm pulling for Chrome, but think Wicked Strong will put out the win.

Chrome stumbled at the start, This may have contributed some way negative but we may never know.I was shocked that the jockey did not commit about his start, leads me to think the jockey did not feel it affected the outcome but I just don't think he had it in him for that distance. The horse definitely put on a better performance than his D.A.P./ co owner...You want to go back in time and see some good horses ...Google Sea Biscuit/War Admiral, Secretary and Affirmeds run at the triple crown....One thing I know for sure Horse racing did alot for this country back when this country was lookin for something to believe in.Back in the 70s when I was a young boy ...If the Triple Crown race was on T.V. ....YOU SAT DOWN AND WATCHED IT WITH THE FAMILY.....

Even changed the rules for him so he could wear the nose breathing strip and he still didn't win.

And his owner the "working man" everybody loved. Cried like a school girl afterwards. Reminded me of folks getting cheated and crying on here after a hunt Big baby!

That was a tough race for chrome. Simply because it had won Kentucky Derby and Preakness. All the horses it competed against at Belmont was rested up for the Belmont race. And chrome couldnt be. I don't think it isnt fair I think if a horse goes to Belmont it should have to race at Kentucky and Preakness. So each horse been through the same
The jockey knew what he was doing by not jumping out in front at the gate because he was on a tired horse and hope you have something left for the last quarter

U hit the nail on the head, realy like the horse, trainer and one of the owners, The one with the BIG C/B Hat is a jurk for sure. NO USE FOR HIM AT ALL. Winn with CLASS and loose with CLASS he has no CLASS at all.
BUT with that said C/C pulled a quarter real bad and cut his leg on his tendon, replay shows that the horse in gate 1 leaned on him when they broke from the gate not sure when it happened trainer said that is just racing going to head home today heel the pulled quarter turn him out a couple of 3 weeks and start over. Now that is CLASS to me. JMO on class.

as someone who has done his share of ridin I can tell ya it took a horse made of steel to take a hit like that and still run as good as he did. most would have been done at the gate.

also I kinda agree with his owner, though the rant was a little out of place. too many owners and trainers opt out of the Preakness if they don't win the derby then come in to run the Belmont as a spoiler.

when secretariat won the triple crown Sham was there in all 3 races, pushing the limits but running with him all the way through. had he beaten secretariat in the Belmont, it would have been because one horse had more endurance than the other. Not because he took a vacation during the Preakness and came in rested and geared to spoil.

while I was a bigger fan of several other pedigrees who ran this years races.......IMO Crome was still the super horse this year.
