Swimming dogs.
Thinking about swimming some dogs for a little exercise. How far should I swim them to get any good out of it ?
it's good exercise for them, do till there tired and a few times a week, you'll notice a difference in shape and tone quickly
The nice thing about swimming is you can exercise the dogs on the hottest days and not worry about over-heating them .
We string a cable across the pond and tie the old dogs to the cable , They swim in a circle and don't go anywhere . We let them swim 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, while the puppies go in and out at will .

Great idea for easing the fears of a hound that's not too fond of water
