Ticks?

What products are you guys using to keep ticks, and flies off of your dogs? I have been getting ticks off my dogs here lately and was wondering what the best thing was to use to keep them off my dogs?

If they will keep them off a 2000 lb cow it sure will a 75 lb dog.

But you will have those that will say go get all that expensive stuff from a vet but the way i look at it when some one asks for help on here they want ideas that don't cost much for if they went to a vet in the first place they would not have needed to ask the question to begin with.

We got to help each other out any way to save a Buck makes since to me.

One of these days i hope to write a book on home remedies and put all the vets out of business.LOL.

Never heard of that before. But I have never had much dealing with cattle either. Where can you get them at?

I've tried both the purple and orange colored cattle ear tags over the years and never had much luck with them repelling ticks on a dog. Advantix II and Bayer Tree & Shrub both work much better for ticks.

I work in the medical field, and we have had about 6 people to have imbedded ticks with in the last 2 weeks. They are awful this year.
