BBOA Zone 7 Queen of Hunt--Duck Cripps' Zoi

I drew out with Duck Cripps and his Zoi female Saturday night at the BBOA hunt at Stigler, OK. We were in a 3 dog cast. Cast members were: me, Logan Rhinehart and Duck Cripps. At the first drop we all got struck in and all 3 dogs went in different directions. Zoi got treed and had the coon. My gyp and the other dog did not produce a thing. Next drop, we split the strike off the chain and Zoi got first tree, my gyp second, and the other dog last. They had the coon. Next drop the dogs worked all over the place and were having trouble figuring out which way to go, they finally crossed a county road and my gyp got treed and nothing covered. She was alone when we got there, and had a coon and we captured the other 2. We were still right next to the county road and wanted to get away from it. On the last drop Zoi got first strike, Logan's dog got second, and my gyp got last strike. They worked their way through a real nice hardwood bottom and my gyp got treed with Zoi covering for second. There was lots of undergrowth around the tree and we could only look up here and there. The hunt was over at that tree. Duck finished with 400 and I had 350. Zoi is a nice female. I believe Duck said that she is a granddaughter to Bullet II. She is very deserving of the title BBOA Zone 7 Queen of Hunt. Congratulations Duck Cripps. We had a very enjoyable hunt.
