This pup can tree her own coon and does it on a nightly basis she's just a little nutty some times just wondering if shell grow out of it. She's got plenty of go its just kinda widespread.

Hound

If you want a dog that hunts close and along the road get a cur. Why for safety reasons would you want to hunt along a road. Dogs that get out and get gone are doing what they are supposed to do and that is find coon! She probably is checkin air currents and winding about. Sounds like she wont please you so you better send her to me LOL! Maybe she will calm down no telling. Be safe redman!

that's the way I like a dog to hunt get gone and tree one some where.
if she to much to handle what do u want for her?

I think he's saying he cuts her. Then in about 50 yards. She might turn around and go straight back behind him. Here that would mess up most of my turnouts. Cause I dont go far off the rd to cut loose. I expect them to hunt the way I send them pretty much.

Are you cutting her into the wind? Maybe she's scenting one behind you if the wind is at her back so naturally she's going to go back that way. It is a pain when they don't hunt the direction you want them to.

Its not like she smells one we have very thin coons she has to go a good ways just to smell one sometimes she will do a loop and go the way I cut her then sometimes she doesn't. Idk its not a huge deal breaker but its aggravating sometimes.

Turn the dog next to a fence row. I had one that would do the same thing. Once they get used going where you shine your light and something to guide them, they will usually start going straight. Hope this helps.
