I have grown up knowing Bud and his family my whole life. I have lots of fond memories hunting and playing ball with him and his grandsons. He will be missed around the Collins area and by my entire family. The 1st coonhunt i ever went on was with Bud and my Dad. I bet Bud and Ole Mike are hunting somewhere tonight.

Mr. Flowers Bud's family had that award and Mike's HOF award on display at family night tonight. They all took pride in knowing Bud was a coonhunter.

Davey I must have just missed you last night. I saw Mikes HOF award and Buds Lifetime Achievment Award on display. Mr. Flowers Bud spoke to me several times about these awards and you could not have honored anyone that appreciated them more. I also looked at his scrapbook they had on display. Talk about history. When I was about 13 I drew out with Bud in a hunt and it was really cold. I slipped in the creek and got really wet and I was freezing. Bud took off his coat and insisted I wear it. That left Bud with only a flannel shirt on. I was warm but Bud had to be really cold. The other 2 guys didn't care if I froze to death but not Bud. I never forgot that even though that was 45 years ago. I have sold Bud just about every piece of fur I ever caught and fur selling day at Kellers Fur House was a special day each year. It won't be quite as special anymore.
