Rule 5 A MH / Panel may not consider any debate that is based on telemetry use.

What if dog A (judge’s dog) is treed and dogs B C and D are trailing away. Tree is scored and handlers of B C and D check the garmins. Dogs are 1000 yards North. The 3 vote to head that direction, but the judge says no. The three handlers walk towards the dogs and the judge says you are scratched for disobeying me/leaving without permission.

They go back to MH and what is the outcome?

A. The MH may not consider any debate that is based on telemetry use and the 3 remain scratched.

B. The debate is not based on telemetry use but the fact that the judge refused to walk with the majority vote and the judge is scratched.

C. Other.

Pretty far fetched scenario, why would the judge want to keep himself leashlocked? UKC. has said that while the 8 is running the handlers may walk in order to get the dogs in hearing.

The use of the Garmins should never be part of the question. What settles this question is the simple fact that it was voted on and 3 voted to walk towards dogs. According to the rules, that settles it.

I agree with you, but see the other post about walking to dogs based on the garmin, there are several that are saying they are not walking to dogs.

maybe the judge is up by 150 points and if he can keep from getting within hearing of them dogs he will win...

I think the majority has no choice but to vote on a timeout and force him back to the MOH for refusing to follow a cast majority.

You are allowed to walk your 8.
The question on the card wouldn't be about the Garmin, it would be about the judge not going with the vote.

So what ended up happening on this cast?
