once i download what i want to my basecamp on the computer and put it on my alpha could i then put my astro 320 in pay my 30 and use the same map without having to download it all again? how does the renewing work when you have to pay the $30 again, does it just quit working one day then have hook to computer and pay? thanks

You have full possessions of your downloads.

After one year, you just cannot download more. You should be able to download your previous basecamp to a new subscription. I have done it once, but can't remember off the top of my head how I did it.
