Dog with company question, why?

I have a 3yr old male dog who hunts well alone. When I put him with company he is more interested in the other dog than hunting. He follows the other dog around occasionally barking at the other dog. I have never seen such behavior. This dog has been hunted alone but only few times. The times with company all yielded same results. Has anyone ever experienced this if so was you able to correct the behavior?

Id try kennelin him with another dog, or lf you got a fenced in area where you can let him run a few hours a day with other dogs. Might get it outs his system, might not.

Hunt him with others on a regular basis a while. See if he gets over it.

Put some vicks vapor rub near the rectum, down the back and on top of the head of the other dogs you hunt him with. It will probably take a number of doses to stop it, but he will eventually get the idea that all dogs smell the same, and he doesn't care for it. Tom

you could neuter him.

Sounds to me like he's still young and has a lot of pup in him. If that's the case, I'd hunt him alone until he's more excited about hunting than playing. That depends on the individual dog, but hunting alone can't hurt him, and he could annoy the other dogs hunting enough so that they try to straighten him out. When he's home, let him play with younger dogs, and he will assume some leadership and mature.
