Mr. "Billy Ed" Tinnin has passed on!

Mr. Bill Tinnin of Inverness passed yesterday at his home in Inverness, Mississippi at the age of 89. Mr. Tinnin was a dear friend of mine and many many others in the coonhound world. I will post arrangements when available. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow. He will be missed by many.

Tinnin passing

Prayers for family and friends. Time heals the hurt but does not erase the memories that we hold dear to our heart.

Mr. Bill was a friend of my dad and our family for over 50 years. He was one of the nicest men that I have ever known;a friend to all that met him. Mr. Bill was one of the last of the men who were involved in the very early coon hunts in the late forties and fifties, hunting in the early acha and mountain music hunts. He was primarily a field trial and water race fan.He was the first man to advertise and sell wheat lights solely to coon hunters; he sold 1000s of lights from his service station.Mr. Bill was a hard hunter for many years, hunting solely for the enjoyment of the sport. He was a master story teller and always had a crowd at his station.
