Actually, I saw another post that Brian made and it clearly shows he is Blakesley bred if you go back far enough, but somewhere along the line the name got changed.
I have hunted with Missi. Her and Jake are both first class

my name ain't

You won't find my name listed as the breeder on John Henry, if you check his papers it will say Mark Lucas "breeder" ...Now if you look at Mandolin's papers I got my name on those..YEA Buddy. I'm just glad to play a small part in the dog he's a good one .
Keep paying those entry fee's boys you got all summer to break some Red dog money winning records.

He has done very well and you and anyone who had a hand in his success should be very proud and I mean that. Jon is one of the few top level dogs in this breed that has proven he can compete and win against the best of the other breeds. Now if everyone can get along....maybe guys with the best females will want to breed to him. Jon is made up from the DNA of dogs from several lines...just live almost every other dog in this breed. Some mixes work ,some don't. But Jake has a good female and he made a good choice in what he bred her to and I wish him and Andrew the best going forward.

Jon/missy

Just wondering if any of these pups are available..? I've hunted with Brian and Jon a few times... And those hunts are etched in my memory, if this female is near equal capability, and from what I have read , she is a good one... I would be very interested in one of these pups...!

I will book pups as soon as she starts showing. I am keeping 3 . Thanks everyone for comments & interest.

I think this is a real cross and my comment above was simply describing what I think about the comments directed towards Fireball and myself. I feel anyone can look at a set of papers and see how a dog is bred up and if you hunt with a stock of dogs you can tell if the dog is like one side or the other pretty quick. I made a cross just for Richard, now once they are here I've got to convince him to rejoin Team Fireball/ Rusty Red lol

Preston, I was joking with Brian R about him being blakesley bred because on another post he said the outlaw dogs were really blakesley bred dogs.
I am pretty sure it would be hard to find any redbones today that didn't have some blakesley breeding in them way, way back. Its easy to see that he is heavy fireball bred on the top and from what I hear about him he has a lot of the traits common to that line. I wasn't taking a shot at you or fireball...just making a joke that you wouldn't get if you had not seen the other post.

Missy...

That's great to know about missy...Down here in the southeast , you need a dog with go power...300-600 yrds don't get it done here most of the time.. With people cutting the hardwoods, replanting pine coon are thin, and far apart. Good to know missy has go power.. , As for Jon, he gots go power , with a turbo..! The pups off these two great dogs should be awesome.
