Todd is 100% correct. Matter of fact I just started having a problem I haven't seen in 40 years. I have two females that are running loose on 4 acres and a few months ago I put a couple bark collars on them to stop them from treeing squirrels. That worked but now in the morning they are going out there and where the squirrels have sit on the ground and chewed on some pine cones they are digging and barking. Two days ago I put two Garmin Bark Limiters on them and I put them in the Auto mode. These are not the rechargeable ones as I want to see how long the batteries last and want to see how they work after replacing the batteries a few months down the line. Anyway no more barking and digging. The auto still lets the dog bark once or twice when they see me or something but not much after that. Yesterday I loosened the collars one notch and in a couple days if all is quiet I will loosen again. Couple times and they will have the collars on but not doing anything but reminding them not to bark. I will then turn them off at that point to save the batteries.
