dog sneezing and lost voice

I have a 3 year old male that is normally a ball of energy and has a booming voice. 5 days ago he almost has completely lost his voice it's just a squeek and some bark, he is also sneezing a lot. I just wanted your guys input thanks

i wouldn't think allergys would make dog loose it's voice but will cause sneezeing my wife shitzu has bad allergys gut she gets itchy and digs herself to death i always keep benadral around i would go to the vet about the loos of voice part

The sneezing could be a cough, hard to say with out hearing. Could be kennel cough, or some other virus. Try local honey, that will help allergies and soothe the the throat and an anti-inflammatory, that well help any swelling in the throated. Benadryl, May also work. Make sure he has plenty of rest clean bedding and water. Give him a couple of weeks, I'm sure he will be back to normal.

There are also some supplements that can be given to boost immune systems. Forget what they are.

Allergies will absolutely make a dog lose it's voice. One of my 2 year olds did it last year, and it's starting again already, since the trees are starting to come in bloom here. You'll usually notice snotty swollen eyes, and runny nose along with the loss of their voice if it's allergies. I use the over the counter Zyrtec, clears him right up in a couple days, and it doesn't make them tired and sluggish like the Benadryl will.

The local wildflower honey is a better long term solution, because it helps them build immunity, just like it will in humans. But it can take a couple months to see any substantial difference. It can actually make them worse for several days, and it's possible that they could have a severe allergic reaction to it.
