WLDNITECH Pedigree VS. All Grand Pedigree
Which do you prefer? Would you rather have a few World Champs in your pedigree or an All Grand Pedigree?

I rather have all coon dogs. I dont care about the titles. Thats whats wrong with the breed today.

quote:I agree! I've made show champion bred female a nite champion. She was a nice hound! The fact is though a lot of people don't think like us. People think they gotta pay $400 for a hound that is all grand. It doesn't do anything. It's all about how much time you put in when they are young. If you get and all grand jam up bred hound and never take it to the woods. You might as we'll keep your money! I agree with you there man!

Well I got a female walker that has a few world champ dogs in her pedigree one is her dad. When I got her she was 6 months old and had never been off the chain. Now she is 9 months old today and has been hunting about 20 or so times and is just know starting to go with other dogs. She will get in there about 500- 600 yards at times but has not opened on track or tree yet. I have messed with her a few times with a coon hide and still nothing. I have a English female I bought at the pound as a pup that I have had a year now and she is getting it done and has treed a few by herself. So to me papers and titles don't mean crap....... Papers or titles don't put coons in the tree....If they did my walker female should be a hellofa Coon dog with names in her papers such as trackman, houses lipper, world champ insane jane, insane cain, and acha world champ trick magic.
I would hunt a all pr dog pedigree if it's a coon dog papers don't make a dog
Heck sometimes I go and dont even bring a dog. Its a lot less stressful. I dont tree too many though. LOL

Number 1, if the dog itself isn't a grand, then it isn't an all grand.
Number 2, how many World Champions have been top reproducers?
What is more important to me is how many dogs in a pedigree do I personally know. That is the only way I make those judgements.

I don't see how you can go wrong with an all grand pedigree. It proves the pup is out of a long list of bonafide COON DOGS and will more than likely be one also.
World Champion bloodlines would have to be even better because if a dog can win a world hunt then he/she will certainly throw great pups.
It's just common sense.

You would think. But so far my pup hasn't done crap and her dad is 2103 ACHA world champ trick magic which goes back to house's Lipper his mom was out of trackman I think. Her mom is insane GI jane which is direct off of turpins's insane cain. which has world champ insane jane in the mix and goes back to hickory nut harry. She sure it starting to get out there good. I'm hoping for her to open up just any night. she acts ok for 9 months and only being messed with for the last month or so.
