Need some new boots

I have been shopping online for boots & chaps. Im a chunky butt type of fella and I am looking for a boot that does not fit tight around my calves. I saw some Lacrosse work boots with chaps but it didn't say if the boot were water proof. Can anyone recommend a boot different that the muck boot (which is putting blisters on my heels. I also need good arch support.

any big leg guys out there, please help a brother

I have the same problem...well, at least the part about the big calves. Lacrosse 4X Burly is the only non-insulated boot that I have found with the gusset things for big calves. Lacrosse makes many boots with the gussets that are insulated. You can even get the 4X Burly in an insulated boot so make sure you specify either way. They will not rub your heel and they are comfortable boots.
I had a pair of Bogs that were very comfortable but they were shot after the first month.
There are a lot of boots out there that have neoprene calves that will stretch and you can wear them but they will cook your feet as the neoprene is also a very effective insulator.
Finding boots with calf gussets are no problem...finding them with no insulation for summer use is.

Go with lacrosse arrowheads best pair of boots I've wore. Comfortable wont hurt your feet they help mine. I'm 6'2 220 to 230 and I've got some big legs and the boot helps with my big calfs

i had a pair of mudlites and they were comfortable......all 3 times i wore them

I just bought the mud lite last night. I don't like them as much as the alpha lite. They don't fit my ankle as well and were rubbing the back bad enough the sock was starting to chafe. Hoping thicker socks will help. I loved my alpha lites from day one and they held up very well.

Ive had the alpha lights, alpha burlys and mud lites. I just got some aeroheads from Conkeys yesterday. They are lighter and more comfortable than any of the boots i previously mentioned.

How are the aeroheads if you don't have big legs/calves/ankles?

Any hunts coming up before Oaks that will draw a lot of vendors?
