my English won't stay treed with walker males .
I have an English male that will tree hard with everything but walker males. He is fast to get treed but comes off and just circles the tree about 20 feet away. I think he may have been roughed up by a walker at the tree before, does anyone know how I can get him over this problem ?

I would suggest finding a good pair of walkers to hunt with in your area. First things first, I would recommend tie-ing your dog back away from the tree when you get it. Don't force him to share it with the walkers . Gradually move him closer in every tree you make it to. I had a male who had almost the same problem.
Cheers and good luck.

I believe this. I once had a Black dog that would only try to whoop black dogs off the tree. He must of not liked his own kind. TRUE STORY!!!

Seen this in many many English dogs! That's ther main fault. 90% of them just don't have enuff bawls to stay on the wood ,with other up on the wood tree dogs! Regardless of breed or color! Good luck.
Probaly why them other dogs don't win a lot of hunts wont stay treed,,,,,lol j/k
english
Maybe the English dog knew it was slick an didn't wanna get lit up!!
find a dog that won't take no crap and I would about bet you will find your problem when you hunt with these same hounds. there are trouble makers of every kind.
