Kenneth, Boss is 3 years old and is still young. He is a NITECH and qualified for the Worlds last spring as a 2 year old.
The good about Boss, he is very accurate 90% having the coon or on a honest den (stats from this last kill season).
He is independent and likes to have the coon to himself but isnt afraid and will back another hound if he doesnt get first strike. He will kick dirt in your face as soon as you unleash him. He doesnt fiddle around pissing and crapping once hes turned loose. Has a short bawl on track and is 80-85 bpm chop on tree. He wont stick around the tree if there is another aggressive hound in the cast, he will leave and go find his own coon. 74 pound hound in hunting shape. He is a 2014 performance Sire. He likes to get things done correctly in the woods and sometimes that slows him down on track just because he likes to be sure.

the bad, he isnt the fastest track dog in the woods. His ears are a little shorter than I like to see in a hound but he meets breed conformation with his ears. His voice is average.

Smokey II

I've had 4 dogs out of Smokey II, i raised the last pup, out of him. I think Sam, is 9 years old now, he treed his own coon at 11 months of age, hard, loud up on the wood tree dog. They seem to be hot nosed, clean, easy starting, hard tree dogs, there's also some things in them you won't like. I had two female pups out of Grnnitech Andy's Super Rockin Abby, and Smokey II, I loved them, both hard up on the wood tree dogs, got one killed on the road at 10 months of age, never got any pups, out of Bess, she died at 9 years of age.

Smokey II female

There's a direct daughter of Smokey II x (full sister to tige) nite champ Thigpens River City Molly in texas about 10-11 y/o. Had a litter last year from a Jammer son. He suppose to bred her again this year hopefully. Hard hunting, very independent & super hard tree dog.

NIECH Thigpens Rivercity Molly is a CH GRNITECH 'PR' Dark Hollow Hobos Hoss X 'PR' Juds Ears product.

NITECH Thigpens Rivercity Molly was then crossed with Whitakers Black Smokey II which produced 'PR' Wrights Lena (can ask Lance Wright about this as he owns her still) Lena is the dam to my hound.

Whitacker's Smokey

The very best pressure, tree dog, i've ever hunted with was Whitacker's Black Smokey III, i raised him at my house, he was born that way, from 8 weeks of age, on. Smokey IV, was high scoreing male black&tan at the ukc world hunt this year, Tim hunted against the english blue male dog, that won it all, Smokey IV had 250+, the blue male had 300+, only lost by 50+. And as for the old Smokey dog, as being pure, i don't think, any of, the present dogs, we are hunting are, 100% pure, too many dew claws, too many real short ears, and too many, that just go for a couple of miles, just to be going.

I owned a female out of thigpens river city Molly and smokey II I baught ere from Tim I think when she was 3-4 years old she wasn't ever hunted hard, she would run and tree a coon, I bred her to Alberts last chance and Lovis burns owned a male called Bo outta the litter she only had 4 pups. My intent when I didn't that breeding was to keep a female out of the litter, but there wa only one n I promised the owner of chance at the time pick of the litter and of course he wanted a female, I was going to cross the female back to a male dog I owned outta smokey II and a female directly off of two time Albert, my male dog was a hard hunting dog, chop mouth hard tree dog, like the guys above said he started easy and young..
