1/10 of a cc per 10lbs for heart worm is what I've always been told and is how I dose. I've seen absolutely 0 results against fleas but I haven't found a tick since last April.

The Ivomec sheep drench (blue liquid) does work well on ticks. We put 3cc down their back. Do NOT give this to your dog orally. It is NOT the same. A to Z Vet Supply has a sheet on it. It is like $55 for a liter of it. I used it last year and it is much better than the other topicals for ticks. Comfortis is really the only thing getting fleas. But you cannot give it within 14 days of giving ivomec for heartworm prevention.

Ivomec (ivermectin) injection for cattle and swine 1% solution.

Give it orally @ 1/10 ml (cc) per 10 lb. weight

this is for heartworms in dogs, it can be used as a topical for some mange but at a much higher dosage.

You can try permethrin for ticks, cattle ear tags, Bayer tree and shrub for fleas.

Do your own research, don't take my or any other advice you read on the internet as gospel.

1% injectable orally at 1/10cc per 10lbs is correct.

The NON oral generic ivermectin sheep drench is used topically. It is a blue liquid. I learned about it from A to Z vet supply and it has done incredibly well to keep ticks off.

Not sure about the sticky thread comment either.

And yes I questioned putting sheep drench on a dog. I tried it on one dog....it is safe topically.

Oh one thing I did learn...and the Bayer Tree and Shrub was no longer working for me....whatever you use needs something to spread it....like how the frontline is a bit oily. That is why the tree and shrub doesn't work so well. There is no carrier oil. The drench is oily and probably why it worked so well. The ear tags.....they worked for a while. I like the fact I am not putting something ON my dog with them.

I mixed the tree and shrub with mineral oil, works fair. The Spot On for horses seems to work ok for fleas, one tube will do 3 big dogs. I would try just a little first to see if there is any bad effects.
