BBOA Zone 5 events for 2014

Alright guys I've got several hunts scheduled for this year with a few pending.
They way we do it in zone 5 is that every state can have a state Championship and 2 sectionals . the zone championship rotates around to every state. last year the Zones were in Kentucky this year they are in N.C.
I'm going to list the hunts here by state. you will notice some states are not filled up with the maximum of hunts that we could have there. So if you are a member of a club in one of these states and would like to hold a state hunt or sectional please contact me.

Lets get out there and support the hunts that we have in our zones and have record numbers at these events.
Clubs hosting these events don't forget to list these events as BBOA events when you send in your conformations to UKC.

There are still a few hunts left to schedule so to all our members out there talk to your club and see if you can interest them into holding a BBOA event.

Hey Ron you do understand that it only take a couple of inches of snow in Carolina to bring everything to a halt!

2", that's hardly enough to track a rabbit!!! We've had 12"+ for over 2 months & very seldom see 20 degrees for a daytime high. Set record lows for daytime highs yesterday- 5 to 10 degrees. Then, record lows last night -10 to -20 degrees. Enjoy your snow, it'll be gone tomorrow. Take care, Ron.

unfortunately no. got down to 17 last night and barely above freezing today an we have another chance for snow again on Thursday. 2 weeks ago we had 8 1/2 inches. I know that doesn't mean much for an Iowa guy but that's as much precip as we've had in a long time and we are just getting into early march which is when we traditionally get our biggest snow.
Trust me that's enough for us southern boys.
I don't mind it I just take a snow day with the girls and we get out and play!

Well Thursday came and brought 4 inches of snow with it,with some ice and sleet mixed in,so another down day for the south. But we going see if a ring tail is out tonight anyway, might get lucky.

Zone 5 Events

Hey guys make sure you check out the list at the beginning of this thread as there have been some updates and changes.
The Tennessee state hunt will be September 5-6 in Madisonville Tn.

I would like to thank Cody Smith for all his hard work in getting this hunt scheduled for us.

You boys in Tn. better pour out for this one , Cody is getting all kinds of prizes donated. what am I saying people from Carolina , Kentucky and Virginia better hit this one!

We have got our second and final N.C. sectional scheduled. It will be September 6th in Pilot Mtn. N.C.

Make sure you check Bloodlines or the upcoming events section on here for directions and deadlines.

Most Importantly Get out And Support Your Breed And Attend These Events !
Worse thing that could happen is that you might just enjoy yourself!
