this pup has been doing so good. he is about 10 month old and has been hunting with other dogs just a few time in his hunting career. that being said he has developed all on his own. last night he went 2 for 2 and done a hell of a job doing it in the wind and rain. we still got a lot of work to do he doesnt go hunting quick enuff for me yet and he is alittle loose on trees. I think hunting time will fix all of that.

I wanted publicly thank Jason for all the work and time he has put in this pup. The pup had some natural ability but you still have to put the time and boot leather in them. If every time a pup left here he got the chance this pup got the percentages would go way up. Ed Mauney

Kink got us a cast win with 150+. That was good snuff for a 3rd place finish. Not bad for a 9 month old pup. He was split treed ten foot from anther dog and didn't budge!!!

Hey Jason, it was great to meet you & hunt with you. I like your young dog Kink. Sensible, nice mouth, nice little tree dog that will do his own thing. All the guess work is done with him, all he needs is that boot leather part. Young rascal showed he can tree some of these ole sick woodlot coon too! I bet your hind end is dragging just a tad this morning. I know I would have to have a coffee IV going if I was running on the sleep you have had these last couple nights! LOL

These Ohio boys have showed me some southern hospitality this week and I am thankful to have hunted with and meet them.

Vic I'm dragging my friend. Thanks for the to kind words about Kink. Like you said boot leather and a BUNCH of it and he might make a dog. I had visions of treeing 3 or 4 coons a night up here but it ain't working out like that. Don't let Vic fool y'all his dog Tommy put a ass whoopin on Kink the other night. Kink blowed up on a slick tree and Tommy went 50 yards past him and treed himself a coon.

Jason, if you end up working up here again next week we'll get ole Harry to take us to some of his spots. We weren't but 15 minutes away from them last night. Some of the hunting Harry has got affords a better chance of getting multiple coon treed in one night. The survivor coon that are left in that Fallsville Wildlife Area we hunted last night have been well exercised. Not saying they can't be treed, but they will get to a place of refuge more often than not.

Thank you for the kind words on Tommy. You forgot to mention that my ole possum dog was just trying to get some redemption from 10 month old Kink jamming one on his two year old hind end on the previous dump! LOL Kink did a good job on that coon in short order, he's not even my dog & I was tickled with him! I love it when those youngsters get it done & put the scald on an older dog while doing so. I believe young Kink is gonna be just fine! You have a great weekend & be safe in your travels. Maybe get you some sleep tonight!

Last two times out Kink has done a fine job for me. Last night It was so good i couldn't help but smile and say that's my dog deep and treed. While the other two was treed slick.

I had a blast with them Jason. Got a grand daughter that just turned 3. Had the birthday party plus Easter all in the same weekend. Needless to say, that little gal was wound for sound!
