i cant get the photo of his pedigree to upload now i will try to post his whole pedigree later thanks
i had a female out of the smith mt line of dogs. She hunted 500- 600 yards on her own, make a loop and come back in but if you put her with another dog she was a straight away hunter go till you find a coon type of dog. She had a cold nose, bawl and chop on track, long bawl locate, chop on tree, and was very accurate. She could move a track good on dry ground but could not do for crap in swampy ground. If she was working a track she would not pull to another dogs track. The ones that i know about in that line of dogs is extremely hard hunters in thin coon they will get deep. good luck with your dog
He is good lookin rascal sounds like he has a nice pedigree also.

oh yea he is bred up good if i could get photobucket to cooperate and post his pedigree he has some good females in his 4 generation pedigree also. he will flat get deep if he needs to he can move a track got a good locate and seems to accurate too. his fault is barking in box and digging at the floor in box me and him are fighting that out now. other than that i have not seen any faults in woods i have not had him long either though i thought i might raise a litter out of him and my clover female i just thought someone might know him and could tell me some information on him thanks for the replies guys
