Any improvment
I have a 27 month old male redbone he still has trouble getting a track going, he's treed 12 -15 coons by his self . Trees hard when he trees , handles great , not trashy .
Want some opinions on this dog , should he get better on those hard trackes?
He has gotton a lot better this kill season.
Thanks for the help

Yes he will get better, but don't worry till you have put another 80 to 90 coon on him. Then re-evaluate his tracking ability. Tracking comes easy to some hounds, some hounds have to learn how to work a bad track, and some hounds never learn. You will know which category this dog falls into after treeing that many more coons.
!2 to 15 coons is like giving a 15 year old kid 30 at bats in baseball and then evaluate is readiness to hit at the major league level. Not had enough practice yet.

You've just got to hunt him by himself. He will either get it or he won't, and that timeframe is up to you. There is no use in keeping something that doesn't suit you.
I had a dog that could grub a mean track and throw a beautiful locate....but he wouldn't stick a tree for love, money, nor punishment. It just wasn't in the dog, and I asked everyone I could. I even sent him to a man I know that...if it has it...can make it come to the top......but no dice.
I know that my dog may not get but 30 coons in a season. We just don't have the coon population to kill 80 - 90 a year. So for me if the dog requires 100+ coons to make it work he won't make it at all here. We just don't have it, and I would say that your coon population is similar.
