Waiting for Global Warming

I'm ready for some global warming. Fire up those coal burners, start up and release everything that makes a bigger hole in the ozone. It's too cold for too long already. Where is Al Gore now?

Maybe the ticks wont be as bad this year . all my females are IN cant hunt them still hunt old steve-o he be 11 this summer and still tree a coon .

LOL... The last time I remember the temps being this cold this many days in a row was in the late 80's. The internet must have fixed the ozone...

First off not saying i believe in global warming but you might check out this movie called THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW i believe is name look it up or watch. It shows global warming burst inton massive amounts of tornados and a giant tidal wave floods new york city and finally to new ICE AGE in the northern hemisphere. Now we have had a lot of tornados and while new york didnt get flooded some other places have and this may not be an ice age but man it feels like it lol even florida has got below freezing.

May just be a movie but funny how things have been similar just not as extreme.

It's COLD here on the coast of NC!!! In the teens tonight... Don't see that very often. This is are second cold spell this year.. Definitely don't like it..

All I know is

When we have a few mild "warmer than normal winters" then it is caused by Global warming. If we have bitter cold, worse than normal winters then that is because of global warming. When I was a kid older folks talked about how bad winters use to be. Hmm. Makes you wonder.

iam still getting ticks off my dogs,so i dont know if the cold kills ticks or not,sometimes i think they will just dig deeper when its cold.

Very true. Sometimes i think its like bigfoot. No one has seen it but they know all about it. Haha. And they think everything points towards it being true.

It is saving a lot of coons lives around here, tree one or two and go home. The cold isn't as bad as the 25 mph wind every other day that doesn't lay when the wind goes down. Hunting in the big timber its hard to shoot a coon 50 feet up and swaying 4 feet side to side.

I talked to Super Cooper one day last week and he sent me some photos of the snow drifts just south of ya. Its been abnomally cold here but when he sent me the picture of that I thought "what am I complaing about." Humblness is just around the corner just wait for it.

Today

Its been cold forever. Then today it jumped from 18 this morning to around 50 this afternoon, it seemed like summer time. Tonight it is going to be 0 with 25 below wind chill. They just cancelled school for tomorrow. Kids haven't gone to school more than 5 or 6 days this year so far.
Propane is usually 1.60 a gallon here, I paid 3.99 for 200 gallon Friday. That was a deal, some suppliers are charging 5.45 a gallon. What a scam that is, all across the midwest.

tja51horns is right, they predicted it to start off warmer, then to get bitter cold... But if you ask me, this is normal. I believe if you look back for the past 100 years, you will see one or two winters just like this one... I believe we go in a circle, about every 20-30 years or maybe longer, we will have a horrible winter(ffor a few years) and then on the opposite side, we will have some really mild ones as well...
