Range

I'm new to using a dog what kinda range a dog hunts out is best ? Do you want one always within sight or one that hunts deeper?

Nobody can answer that but you. Some want them to hunt deep and don't mind walking a mile for a squirrel. Some depending on terrain that could take two hours or better to get to.
