Pup can't get a break

Took RB solo again tonight. He got his first solo coon a couple nights ago. He ran that one about 400 yds and it ran in a hollow log and he had a heck of a time but he finally drug him out and killed him.

Tonight he struck this one and ran it a little over 500 yds. I was watching what was going on on the Garmin and it was alternating showing him treed and sitting but I never heard him barking. I couldn't figure what was going on and was about to go see what was going on when I finally heard a muffled bark. :Mick:

Most of the time he was in there so far you could just see his butt. I'll be glad when he finally runs across some climbing coons.

come on and man up....reach it there and grab that thing and drag him out for him. Garner can give you some pointers.

P.S. the bite only hurts for a sec

Your forgetting I hunt completely sober! LOL I ain't grabbing no coon. I could hear that one tonight growling at him but couldn't see him even when I tied him back and looked up in there I was gonna pop him and let him drag him out.

I didn't have the rifle with me the other night and he drug that one out fully alive. The coon had already gotten him on the nose a couple times but he finally just grabbed him and it was on. I was really surprised he did it but he killed him like an old dog.
