littermate to Lock Box

best kept stud secret in North Mississippi.

This cross is the same as Skuna River Repete. Repete is a younger brother.
These three hounds are reproducing early starting pups with great mouths and solid tracking ability. Very balanced hounds.

That tells me it is DNA that is running through their veins.

Mr Horton will have a litter of pups by

bullet ready to go in one month. they are 3 weeks old now. the momma is by Harry II. $150.00 ea and will be pp and ss eligible.
Now that is a deal. His oldest pups are 9 months old and the ones being hunted are hard charging with good mouths. Lots of drive.
contact mr. Horton

Billy....not that I know of. these are

the latest that I know of. I talked with Gary about a week ago.

Im trying to encourage local breeders to breed to him. He is a Nite ch and show champ with wins toward grand in both areas.

I saw a pup the other day direct off of repete and it looks exactly like mine off of Bullet so the brothers are throwing the same type pups.
a 17 mo old place high up at the Miss. state hunt last Nov. I hear he is a pretty good hound.

If I hear of anything being bed to him Ill post it on here and get in touch with you.

If someone is in Miss, ark, or west tn.

I would think you would give this Homer stud a shot. The price is right and he's reproducing and his brothers are making their mark in the walker breed right now for sure.
I think Box and bullet are 8 years old. Dont have much time left on these nice hounds.

Ive got a couple of pups off of

Ch. Nt. ch. Hortons Bullet...littermate to Lock Box. Those of you who want to get something off of Lock Box or breed to him and dont want to pay the higher price, You can breed to bullet or get a pup off of Bullet at a cheaper price and its the same blood.
Both of the pups I have are very smart, bold, hard charging and wound up just like Lock Box. I have seen several Box pups and made a cross on him and the pups are just alike in my opinion.

Id give it a shot. I am fixing to turn the crank on my Male young dog I have off of him and if does what I think he will do you will be hearing about him. He has a stud pedigree.
HIs mom is double Bark bred.
His momma is a Nt. ch. direct daughter of Bark by a Fletchers Jake female. His mom is also a grand daughter of Bark as well.

They took a Bark daughter and bred her back to her grand daddy Bark.
The Grand daughter back to the Grandfather to me is the greatest line bred cross you can make if the matching up male is a good balanced dog. Bark is going to go down as a Hall of Fame reproducer. So getting a double shot of that and being directly off of one of the 3 outstanding Stud brothers of Lock Box, Repete, and Bullet is very breedable as a stud.

He is about 45 lbs wrapped up in a tight tight little built frame.
He is everything many of you guys have been wanting to breed to. A small tight made stud with good confirmation that is a coondog with a good mouth and balanced.

We will see in just a couple of months if he has what it takes. Waiting on this ice wave to pass and I will pour it on him.
Ill post some pics on my kennel post soon as well as his pedigree.

If you are wanting some of the Lock Box and repete blood dont leave bullet out. I am a long time breeder and for me to my stamp of approval on a stud dog says a lot.
I like what he is reproducing. He is a direct Homer son and we all know what the Homer dogs are producing. They are all getting on up in age so you better breed now while you can.

p.s.

from what I have seen these three brothers are throwing the same type hounds. wound up hard hunting, hard treeing balanced coondogs. that have the meat. Not slick treeing hounds.
they get the job done. Easy to train and most start real, real, early.

took my five month old pup off of bullet

Hunting tonight for her first hunt. Went hunting and struck something. ran for over half an hour. had to finally catch her off the track and bring her in. she was trying her best. Pretty impressed for a first hunt and trying on her own. Never came back once she was released. doesnt weigh 35 lb. soak and wet.
gonna be a stem winder appears.
Id give bullet a shot breeding wise if you are close down here in Miss, tenn and west ark. He is located about 15 min. south of tupelo Ms. in Shannon, ms.

2nd nite of her hunting life.

struck off a feeder red hot and ran almost half a mile in some cut over and a rock creek. Finally got away from her, but this is one gritty little runt of a pup. Been hunted twice and striking her own track at 5 months old. as a matter of fact she hasnt quiet hit 5 months yet. Likes a few days.

New half page ad in Amercian cooner

this month on bullet on page 87.
He is a littermate brother to Lock Box. Stud fee by private treaty.
You get the same blood as lock box for a lot cheaper stud fee.

He is just south of Tupelo Ms. by 20 min.

I have a one year old male and a 5 mo old female by Bullet. The 5 mo old gyp will strike and run her own coon now. Hunts hard and indpendent.
The one year old is making a solid little hound. very good mouth and also very indpendent. Hard hard tree dog. Both hunt hard and busy. Not out of the country.

I highly recommend bullet as a stud dog. I dont put my stamp of approval on very many stud dogs. As a matter of fact, I dont know but of about 5 or 6 I would breed to right now out of the hundreds you see on this board or magazines.
Bullet is one of them.
When you see the proof in your pen, it is hard to deny they are reproducers. different unrelated females as their moms.

Give bullet a try...would like to see some good females bred to him.
Ive got a pair and they are nice started young dogs that got started before 6 months old. smart, hard hunters and naturally gamey.
Throws good looks and decent mouths as well as easy to start.

congrats to Gary Horton for his 2nd Nt.

champion win with Dual Champion Hortons Bullet Jr.
Man what a good looking motor scooter. Saw him showing him in the bench show last nite at Walnut Ms. You guys that like small tight made built stud dogs with blocky heads you need to check this dude out and he is a coon treeing maching. Had 575 in the area where they the tornados a couple weeks ago. downed trees everywhere and the coons are in rut.

I will try and get some pics of Jr on here before long. going to spec-tate on his cast next month at a club near me.
Bullet Jr. just turned 2 and is a dual champion. He is well on his way to dual grand before 3.

I cant tell you how much I was blown away by the build, looks, color, and feet of this direct son of Bullet ( littermate to Lock Box)
Bullet himself is 9 so dont wait much longer if you want to breed to him.
He is located about 20 min from Tupelo, Ms. Gary is a super nice guy to deal with.
Jr. is not at stud right now. Gary is going to grandnite him and then offer him at stud. I figure with the number of hunts we have coming up around here it shouldnt take long. Jr. finished 3rd last year at the Mississippi State hunt as a year old young dog.
He has a ton of go in him like the bullet pups have. I had one here that started her first nite in the woods at 5 months old. He is a reproducer. He has bred several gyps in the last few months and they have sold out like hot cakes. I think Gary has a litter on the ground that was just born today and he just bred a grand nite gyp a few days ago. Contact Gary for more info.
Gary puts a half page ad in the Cooner every few months thats it.
A couple of us keep this page posted for Gary cause he's a good dude with a nice stud dog. Gary didnt even know about this ukc board stud page. We're doing it to help promote the walker breed.

If you like the Lock Box and Repete pups, you will really love the Bullet pups. Early starters good mouths and a lot better heads and muzzles than the other two. but all coondogs. He also puts show quality feet on his pups if you like dual purpose dogs.
