I watch the show sometimes, but never really liked it.
That bunch of guys are prob good ol' boys but the show is kind of weird.
If those guys really believed in what they say, they would just tell the shows Producers that they were done if they don't bring Phil back, BUT....They won't, you know why ?......... MONEY.......!!!!!

IT MAY COME TO THAT A&E TOLD PHILL THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO AWAY WITH THE GUNS AND THE PRAYER AT THE END. PHILL TOLD THEM IT STAYS OR THEY QUIT

I wouldn't make any assumptions just yet. Phil did release his own statement about the matter but the family, and company (Duck Commander), has not. It all happened last night so I'm guessing they will release a statement today but who knows how this will play out. I know one of the "Support Phil" groups on Facebook is already up to 200,000 likes and it has been like 5 hours since it started.

Corky is right though. When the show started A&E really didn't like the praying (especially in Jesus' name) and told the Robertsons they would have to take it out. They didn't take too kindly to that and told them the prayer stayed in or they were walking. A&E caved. They also were bleeping stuff out making it sound like they were using curse words and the family made them stop doing that. I could be completely off-base but if they were only out for the money the family could have caved on both of these issues but didn't. They stood by their values and the network gave in.

In reality, the family doesn't need the A&E show to make money. They had money long before Duck Dynasty came along selling duck calls and hunting gear (they've just gotten more popular since the show came on). The show is just an added bonus. A&E though would be pretty foolish to let the stars of the #1 cable show in history walk away because of their personal beliefs. And you can bet if A&E lets them go, someone will be trying real hard to get them on their channel with Phil and everyone in tow.

I have never watched the show, ( dont have satillite, dont watch that much TV), But have always heard about it being a good family values show ( not many of these on now adays). I agree with Paul, they dont need A&E, A&E needs them. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Love the show. Have read both Phil's and Si's books.

Sure do hate it for Phil.

Perhaps it's time to get back to business as it seems that the company is taking a hit in the last year.

Don't get me wrong. Love the show and the guys, but sometimes too much is too much. It seems everywhere you go, tons of Duck Dynasty stuff for sale - way too many stores selling way to much Duck Dynasty stuff. Fads don't last. I have always heard that the only place to go after you reach the top is to the bottom.

I'd hate to see the boys fall hard and take down their business with them along the way down when the fad wears off. By the looks of the BBB rating, they need to get back to the basics of what made their business successful in the first place (before "Hollywood" came calling).

Im with you, the family knew what the network was all about BEFORE they made the first episode. It all comes down to money,They had plenty before Duck Dynasty. If they had any integrity whatsoever, they would have told AE to get lost before the first episode was ever filmed. Because absolutely nothing on that network aligns with their beliefs.

Kinda odd who is able to speak their mind "publically" and not get spanked for it!!! Got a kennel of hounds out back. Have a few FEMALES and a MALE. That's the way to get puppies. Strange that animals are smarter than some people. Phill has the "right" to his beliefs and the "right" to say what he believes. Just as much as the "others"!!!!!!

I just checked on a couple "Stand with Phil" FB pages. Together they number more likes than the entire A&E network. It is really going to be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days.

If I were a betting man, I would say that A&E will buckle pretty quickly. Nobody ever watched that channel until Duck Dynasty took off, and now they have the most popular show on TV. If Duck Dynasty leaves, they will still be making bank with their products, and their DVD sales, and I would bet that there are about a dozen other networks that would love to pick up the show. I'm sure the hunting channels would be chomping at the bit to possibly get the Robertson family.

Paul, look at some of the dates and how long to resolve issues or issue a refund (from own customers testimonies).

If I am not mistaken on how BBB works as I have used it in the past on local businesses, even though the compaint was resolved, it still shows on the business site as a track record. 105 of 129 complaints resolved with BBB assistance.

For example, looking your employers BBB rating (UKC), it shows 2 of 3 complaints resolved with BBB assistance. Even though those 2 compaints were resolved, it still shows as a track record.

As ar as customers not showing it is resolved, this is BBB's way of showing resolved:

Your right, their business practice has nothing to do with Phil's speaking his opinion.

If you read what I posted above, I mentioned that fads do not last. When fads are at the top, only place to go is down. Thus I mentioned about not bringing down the business with them on the way down as their BBB rating is not good. Heck, even Phil said the show wasn't gonna last but for a few years. He knows it is a fad as well.

My opinion from the BBB rating is the that after Duck Dynasty became a huge hit, it put these boys in the spotlight and have them all over the country at events and speaking engagements and away from the daily grinds of the business. 125 of the 129 complaints are in the last 12 months. Perhaps it is just a coincidence for the last year complaints and F rating...........me personally think it's the boys being out of the office too much.

Because being a godly man and speaking of the book and his teaches and what he or us like him may believe is now considered morally wrong and were haters, profilers, racist,scum now plus what they and some us believe don't make for good television or ratings. Until duck dynasty came along I thought good Christian morals were slipping away in America until their ratings came in and how many viewers watch it and liked it. But still a man speaks of his believes and morals and his removed because he may offend a certain group of people. So basically if your Godly person you have no first amendment in America anymore and were the morally wrong ones I guess cause the other sure can run around and big deal about their believes and have broadcast all over the USA. We're in trouble folks.

Phil Robertson is a man of conviction and going into that interview he probably knew he was a one man army being armed with his sword , that sword was his Bible and in it the Word of God . I can't see A&E ,you or I or any other TV network altering or deterring him in any way . And most likely at the end of that day he probably lay down his Bible ,said a prayer ,kissed Miss Kay goodnight and went to sleep without any guilt or remorse for what he had spoken .
A stain on A&E I think not , Yep when I go to visit family and friends I have yet to see a GQ magazine laying around anywhere and that includes the bathroom .
