Pregnant female loosing weight??

Got a female that was bred on the 27 of October. She had been acting fine and eating right up until this week. Now she wont really eat unless we give her forte with it and she is loosing a lot of weight. Any suggestions on how to keep her weight on? Or is this a sign of a problem that needs more attention. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of food do you feed her & has she been wormed good . Also occasionally they have false pregnancies .
You may take her to vet & have checked pregnant females normally don't loose weight . I feed my momma's Victor puppy food & give them a little cottage cheese & liver . I also worm them good & a 7-way 2 wks before pups are due . Good luck hope all turns out well .

this is actually fairly common with pups from my experience they will sometimes stop eating due to an upset stomach. I have always had very good luck putting karo syrup or yogurt (you can get at most any grocery store ) on top of the dry dog food. This will make it taste better as well as calm the dogs stomach... hope it helps! Good Luck

She is on black gold black back right now, but we are switching her over to the puppy. We can feel the pups inside her so she is definitely pregnant

Puppy food is best , so thats good your switching her over . The liver & cottage cheese is a good natural supplement (also when nursing) . Tums are ok for dogs & they have calcium in them I also give some crushed to my females during delivery . Sometimes when they start to belly down they may appear thinner from top because the weight has dropped more from rib cage area into stomach area . If she continues to not eat well & looses anymore I'd still take her to the vet and have everything checked out & make sure there is no underlying health issues .
Yogart or a probiotic pill a day (gonna be cheaper for a bottle than buying yogart & same benifit) is good for any dog ,it helps with digestive track health keeping a balance of good bacteria in the intestines . Everyday for any dog pregnant or not is benifical if your dog food doesn't have it in it, especially if your giving a dog any antibiotics same goes for humans . Kyro syrup aleviates constipation but can cause diahrrea or loose stools in dogs w/ a previous healthy stool , check her stool before you give her kyro. This is the reason moms & grandmas give babies kyro in their bottles when they're having trouble going . I've used it on bottle feed animals when needed .
