I read someware that he was bought last year for like 200. Pretty much sold as a cull.. What is the truth in that

I would say no truth at all. Randy talked about drawing John at the Super Stakes a couple years ago and he looked good. Then Randy bought him off Johnny Coffman (the Redbone guy and Alvis' brother) after he (John) won the Zone in Jonesville, VA in 2012. Randy didn't take him to Louisiana because he didn't know the dog at the time. I'm pretty sure Randall Meyers owned him before Johnny bought him.

Sometime back this spring Randy sold him to Kerry Rooks in Georgia. Randy's son has been hunting the dog hard in PKC and has won most of his youth money with John.

You're talking about a dog that has been owned by some of the top guys in the sport and has been campaigned in every registry since he was fairly young. I'd say someone just got the wrong information on the dog.

if you ever read the final four interview of the world hunt finalist it seems they are always ( the dog's ) have been jockeyed around a lot . kinda makes you wonder about them ! i'd say john is a top hound , hes won way to much not to be , slick handling will only get you so far then it just comes down to dog power !

Well Steve, if you are thinking what I hope you are then maybe that stud fee wouldn't sound quite as bad. I'm pretty sure that we could arrange a partnership on that one if you wanted to cross your Cat female with him. I would love to see that cross get made this year, but it would be hard for me to part with my pups from the litter for sure. Just thinking out loud, but Doubling up on Indian Creek Cindy, with Mainstreet Roy and Swamp Cat thrown in just can't go wrong.
