My dog made me look bad tonight

Took my old hound out with my buddy's and they hunted with him and treed a coon quiet often with him and he always runs a track tonight I hunted the dog never once bark then I went to another place and hunted never bark again well I gave him one more chance at another place and never run anything. My dog has always been a medium range dog and he was hunting within 50 yards tonight. Was it a bad night or has he just lost it? It was also the first night in awhile

Maybe your hound wasn't feeling well. My dogs have done that and I take them out the next night and they look like a million dollars. I don't think you should worry about it sometimes we feel bad and don't want to hunt and I'd say our dogs do to

Dog not operating

I had my hound do this went from doing great to nothing. I would have him cked for the tick disease. I'd say if he keeps up what your saying he has this problem.

could it be that your friends dog might be a little ill?take him tommorrow night by hisself and see if he acts better.

It wasn't just yours. Mine did the same thing. Had a buddy meet up with me ad they had 4 walkers and they weren't acting themselves. Might have just been nerves. Dogs pick up on tones, so if you were excited, the dogs might have been excited too and made them act wierd.
