I hear the White River Refuge in Arkansas is very good. I have never been but all I hear are very good thing about it. Maybe someone can give you and me a more info. on the place. I think it is only open a couple weeks out of the year..

Make friends with someone from northern Indiana, central Ohio or Illinois. Those three states have some great coon hunting.

Plan your trip around the open season at white river refuge. Its better hunting than anywhere in the country. You don't need anyone's permission, you don't have to worry about getting your dog hit on a road and it has more coon than anywhere I have ever been.

You just have to keep an eye on the flood gauge and make sure the water in not to high. If you have a four wheeler bring it and a gps is a must. These woods are BIG!
