Question
Had a kid ask me the other day if a possum's eye's were a different color than a coon's when you shined them in a tree a night. I honestly have never thought about it he said someone told him a possum's was orange and a coon's were green.
theres a difference in their eyes.i cant tell ya what but i know it when i see it.ive seen green eyed dogs before but i can recall a green eyed coon.
coon r green possum r orange. not sure bout ever time.
Haven't payed any attention to a possums eyes before. Usually ain't up that high so they're not hard to find. I know I've seen their eyes walking into them , but can't really recall.
I doo know that I've seen some coon eyes look green AND some look orange. I've also seen alot of times where they'll be orange one minute and green the next. Mostly when you shoot them and they jump and move around. I'm guessing it depends on whether they are looking directlt at you or not.
I've seen deer do the same. ( switch from green to orange )
