nice lite

but having to use the frosted pop cover to walk and then take it off to shine the tree is a pain.

Get you a hand held spot light, and don't pull the lens off to shine. Tom

For its size and the punch it packs, it can't be beat, I wouldn't pack it to a 2 nite hunt or anything, but for pleasure hunting it is great

Can you please explain the frosted filter thing??? What happens if you don't have it on the light while walking??? How hard or how much time can it take to remove what appears to be a pop cover type filter??? Is it particularly hard to remove for some reason??? I am in the market for a new light and really like the cordless idea. I also like the price tag and I have always been satisfied with Tri-Tronics quality. Thanks in advance for any info.

Without the lens, the spot is so tight that you can't see the ground when you are walking. You have to put this frosted lens on for walking to broaden the beam. When you want to use is as a bright spot, the lens just pops off. You have to slip it in your pocket without dropping it in the weeds. Then when you leave the tree you pop the cover back on. Never did figure out how they made the spot square, but they did.

Thanks for all the input.

From what I heard elsewhere they have stopped manufacturing them.
