could this work for astro antenna?
was at a yard sale and ran across this antenna, got it for 10 bucks so i figured wasnt much loss. its not a cb antenna looks like some type of scanner antenna or something. i know the new longer range antennas kinda of look similar to this one. what makes the new antenna that is out good for use on a gps? this antenna has a connection just like a cb would but i've got the quick connects and with that i could hook it right to my astro 220. i guess i could try and see but dont want to burn up my astro over an antenna.
well i'm trying to add a photo but i dont have the browse button to add one, can anybody help me out? thanks
You will not damage your Astro by trying the antenna. If your Astro was a transmitter and you tried to transmit into a load (antenna) of an unknown impedence, you could damage it, but since it is a receiver, you could even run it without an antenna without hurting it.
I wish I could see the antenna and I might could identify it for you.
Well i must be missing something still dont see browse to post a pic trying it on my phone now
