Registered Name Change

I recently registered my lab with UKC but I wanted his name to match (more closely) his AKC registration. I ended up shortening it too much because of the lack of spaces on the form. Now I am trying to change it back to something closer to his AKC name. Has anyone had any luck using more letters than "allowed" on the form?
I was told I can change it (before he titles) by using the back of his registration form, but again it only has so many spaces on it, not enough (name too long )

Unfortunately our system only allows for 30 characters and spaces in the dog's name.
