What breed of squirrel dogs wind, tree by sight and ears. Not much tracking. I have tried mtn curs, leopards, kemmers, amazing curs, and none have suited me. Too much tracking on the ground for my liking. It seems like fiests suit me ok but hard to find around here. To be honest the best I have seen around here have some stock dog in them. Red heeler/ border collie and red heeler/austrailian shepherd were the best I've seen in years. Head full of sense and deadly accurate. Not the greatest tree dogs but would stay until you get to them. Let me hear your opinions.

There are many of all breeds listed that excel at eyes/ears and prefer winding their sq. it's all in finding the right one, just like any breed.

I would try a bird dog crossed with a good border collie.or elkhound
