are these common..?
They look exactly like wolves, or wols...that are on squirels during the summer....the 2 dogs that I have hunted thru the summer have 3 on them...raised up welps, about the size of a dime with fluid draining out...just wondering if any other hunters have seen these on their dogs before..
They are warbles of the Bot or Warble Flies, they cane be on anything ,dogs ,cats deer ,cattle ,horses even humanes . They leave an ugly hole when the larva comes out .

I put ivomec on them...do you recommend anything.
Not tryin' too be funny but put honey on 'em & rap so dog can't lick it off,I use honey on just about everything,or bag balm. Honey is a natural healer.
Thanks....I have never seen these on dogs before..
never seen them on dogs before.killed a rabbit when i was a boy that had one in it,i heated up a niddle and put it on that wol and it back out of that rabbit.nearly lost my breakfast.
Cover open hole with Vaseline, warbles will not be able to breathe and stick its head out, be ready with tweezers to grab body. Be careful to get a good hold of it and pull gently, you don't want to rip the body in half. It may take 5-10 minutes for the warble to stick his head out.
