Take a look! bench people Let me know what you think!!

this is my 1 year old female Magic! I have just started putting her on the bench. any thoughts on what I could do to make her look better please let me know!!

thanks for the tips! she doesn't have any show breeding in her so she isn't as nice as some dogs! but she is the closest thing I have to bench showing! but she is a nice dog! and she dose have a little trouble staying on her toes.

Practice in front of a mirror and get the image in your head where you feel like your dog looks best. Most of the time they will let you know if you do not have them set right. When you stretch her back too far it is hard for her to set the front end.

I might add, I am no expert, but you work hard and develop the methods that are the most comfortable for you and your dog. Remember she is young too, so she should get stronger and develop more and that will help you a lot.

Thanks Becky! I have thought about doing it with a mirror, that's why I take pics of her so I can see what she looks like. and she is maturing quickly so that will help me a lot too!

you can also give 1000mg Vit C daily. dont know why, but it will help with the feet.

I didn't know that about the vit c, i'll have to try that! and I didn't know that about their heads, I will keep working her with balancing her head and body! thanks so much for this advice!!

Thanks Dana! she is behaving much better I can actually almost get her to hold her head by herself when i'm setting her up! she is a super fast learner once she knows what I want her to do she tries her best to do it!

I talked to joe yesterday it sounds like Fred is settling in. i'm glad he's doing good. I never worked him n the bench much. and he is a lot of dog to handle lol!

take her collar off on the bench and that will let you see the top line

miss casey i dont much about how a dog supposed to look on a bench,. but that third picture is how a dog supposed to look treeing.did you make your brother lay down on the road and get a picture of your dog walking? lol.good luck this hunting season.

lol thanks skeets! it was actually my older sister that was laying on the ground for that picture! she got a new camera so I talked her into to trying it out while I was working with Magic!!

and she is almost finished with being trained in the woods. she hates a coon so I can't wait for kill season to come in and knock a few out to her! and i'm really hoping to get her into the nite hunts next spring! when dse your hunting season open down in TN?

ok thanks I just started doing her without her collar on. I was a little nervous with taking her collar off but she stands real well now so I am taking it off now. i'll have to get new pics of her without her collar on! but thanks for your advice!!

miss casey our kill season open in sept,but we can train dogs hear year around so i hunt 52 weeks out of the year.when does yalls season open?magic is a good looking coon dog,i can tell shes bred well by just looking at her.it want be long before shes treeing more coons then yall can haul out.lol

lol I hope she will be treeing lots of coons for us!! our season opens October 26th! and we train year round to witch I love to do training pups!!
