Sick Dog Any Ideas?????

15 month old, been hunting hard for a few months this morning would not get up out of her bed.

Got her on her feet and all four legs are as stiff as boards, she cant hardly move.

She had a bowel movement and it had some blood and slime in it.

Any Ideas

take to vets ! but my guess would be 2 things going on 1 is hook worms (bloody stool) and 2 is lyme disease (bit by tick) doxycycline is treatment 30 days both are easy test at vets take stool sample with you and the other is a blood test good luck

I had the same deal last summer. Nice young dog, being hunted hard trying to finish him out. Then he stopped eating, legs and joints got very stiff, and he seemed dizzy,when he tried to stand. I did some research on vet forums, and I thought he either had Lyme disease, or tick fever. Took him to the vet on Monday morning. He tested negative for both, but vet thought it was some kind of tick borne infection. Treated him with Docycyclene. By that afternoon he was starting to act like himself, and began eating. Recovered very fast. I didn't know it untill then that ticks carry several infections, not just two.
