whats up with my dog
my buddy has two redbone dogs that i hunt with on the weekend sometimes. the one dog bruce i never have any trouble with. but for some reason when ever i turn out with the other dog tank my dog looks like he has never been in the woods before. he will run a track not finish it tree then leave runs to just run with that dog watching the garmin screen when they are together is very frustrating. this is the only dog that i have this trouble with. i have hunted with many other dogs in hunts and pleasure hunting and never have any trouble with my dog. i have had him split tree and hold go run and finish tracks by him self . just seems that when his is with this dog he looks like he has no clue
sounds like your dog is getting bullied by that dog in some way. has that dog ever showed any mean behavior to your dog. even just a little body launqage like he is the alpha male. he may just not like him. I wouldnt hunt with someone I don't like. try hunting with him and two other dogs at the same time and see how he acts.
maybe
it's like the other post stated they may not like each other this sounds crazy but back in the late 60s i had a really good red gyp i got a bluetick gyp off a guy you couldn't hunt them togather they didn't fight they would tree couple mins go det another track i talk to the guy i got the blue gyp from he daid can't hunt them togather they try it when another guy had the red gyp
when my buddy first got the red bone him and my blue dog got into a lil scuff at the tree thats prob what the deal is thanks
I've had them do it too.
